SANDOWN RACECOURSE NEEDS IDENTIFICATION AND MASTERPLAN
Project Value: $130million approx
FIDUN was appointed in June 2014 as Strategic Advisor and Project Director to undertake the Needs Identification and Master-Planning of the Sandown (William Hill) Racecourse to successfully address the needs of its stakeholders over the next 15 to 20 year planning period. The role included the:
- Development and implementation of a comprehensive Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and Plan,
- Undertaking and authoring of an extensive Strategic Needs Identification and Analysis document that clarifies the functions to be performed (including the specific needs of horse racing and non-race related events), issues with existing facilities in supporting those functions, the Club’s vision for the site including development opportunities and key things to be considered in the masterplanning and forward briefing process.
- Managing the identification, briefing, appointment and performance management of a comprehensive technical project team
- Management of the master-planning process culminating in the delivery of extensive documentation
- Authority liaison through the masterplanning period
- Budget establishment, management and cost reporting
